Tuesday evening was an excellent night for the Terre Haute South swim team. Both the boys and girls teams posted victories over Greencastle and multiple school records were broken in the process. The girls team defeated Greencastle 128-57. Cristina Elliott, Sarah Senseman, and Mercedez Bray each won four events for the Braves while Grace Padget won three events. Cristina Elliott set two new school records in the meet. Elliott posted a time of 58.70 in the 100 yard butterfly and a time of 59.82 in the 100 yard backstroke, both school records.
The boys team also had an excellent evening in the pool, posting a 141-45 victory over the visiting Tiger Cubs. Addison Bray and Nolan Roach each won four events while Matt Shaver and Matt Kendall won three events. Bray set a school record in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 48.74. Both the boys and girls teams will be in action this Friday, December 4th at the Hall of Fame Boys and Girls Swim Classic. The two day event will begin at noon at Franklin High School.
